主要学术成绩:
长期从事等离激元光子学、纳米光学、单分子光谱和纳米光芯片等前沿领域的研究,做出了开创性和系统性的工作。在实验上首次发现了金属纳米结构间隙的巨大电磁场增强效应,是超灵敏光谱传感的基础,也是其它基于纳米间隙效应研究的物理基础;揭示了金属纳米线及其网络结构中表面等离激元传播和发射的基本特性和机理,实现了纳米光逻辑、光路由等功能;最近把等离激元共振的灵敏度提高到亚皮米精度。他在国际著名科学杂志发表论文200余篇,被引用16000余次(web of science数据),单篇引用超过100次的39篇,h因子61。其中关于单分子表面增强拉曼光谱的研究有两篇论文分别被引用1900余次(Physical Review Letters 1999, 83, 4357)和1360余次(Physical Review E 2000, 62, 4318,被选为该杂志创刊以来的里程碑论文)。他已作国际会议邀请报告70余次;作为会议主席组织了十余次著名国际学术会议,担任多个重要国际学术会议的指导委员会或程序委员会委员;曾任Nanoscale和Optics Express副主编,任eLight、Nanoscale、Nanophotonics、Frontiers of Physics等期刊咨询委员会或编委会委员。
