Associate Professor at the Department of Physics & Astronomy, University of Iowa, F. Wendell Miller Professor, Dean's Scholar and Mid-Career Scholar. Recipient of the James B. Macelwane Medal from AGU. Prof. Jaynes does research in Space and Plasma Physics using data from NASA's MMS and Van Allen Probes missions, as well as CubeSats and sounding rocket missions, such as LAMP. Her primary research interests include: pulsating aurora, radiation belts, and the connection between the two.
