Andreĭ V. Ivanovskiĭ

Andreĭ V. Ivanovskiĭ was born in Moscow, Russia, in 1957. He received the bachelor’s degree from the A. N. Kolmogorov Boarding School, Moscow Lomonosov State University, Moscow, in 1974, the M.S. degree from the Moscow Physics and Technology Institute, Moscow, in 1980, the Cand. Sci. (Ph.D.) degree from the All Union Scientific Research Institute—VNIIEF, Arzamas-16, Russia, in 1989, and the D.Sc. degree (RF State certificate) in theoretical physics from VNIIEF in 2007. He has been with the Russian Federal Nuclear Center–VNIIEF since 1980, where he is currently the Electrophysical Division Leader and the Deputy Director of the Institute for Laser Physics Research. Since 1996, he has been a Professor with the Chair of the Experimental Physics, Sarov Institute for Physics and Technology, Sarov, Russia. He is an expert in theoretical and experimental physics. He has authored numerous papers published in peer-reviewed magazines and the proceedings of International Conference “Generation of Megagauss Magnetic Fields and Related Experiments,” “Pulsed Power,” and “Beams.” His current research interests include radiation electrodynamics, plasma physics, gas discharge physics, thermonuclear fusion, magnetic cumulation, and the application of explosive magnetic generators to study high-speed hydrodynamic processes. Prof. Ivanovskiĭ is a winner of the Marshal Zhukov 2002 RF State Premium.
