Adam C. Watts

Adam Watts received the Ph.D. degree. He leads the Fire and Environmental Research Applications Team, U.S. Forest Service’s Pacific Wildland Fire Science Laboratory. His backgrounds in fire ecology, atmospheric science, and development of unmanned platforms and their payloads, he uses interdisciplinary teams to approach difficult challenges in wildland fire management and implications for ecosystems and climate. His other current research projects include the fire and smoke model evaluation experiment (FASMEE) and international collaborations to find appropriate technologies and approaches for regionally and globally important fire-related challenges. His past experiences have included work as an alligator biologist, Peace Corps agroforestry volunteer, and graduate work at the University of Florida.
