Adam D. Maxwell received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA, in 2006, and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering and the Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA, in 2007 and 2012, respectively. From 2012 to 2014, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Department of Urology, University of Washington, where he is currently an Acting Assistant Professor. His research interests include the development of image-guided ultrasound therapies, including focused ultrasound for mechanical tissue ablation (histotripsy) and lithotripsy.
