Walvekar Adhish S

Adhish Walvekar is a postdoctoral researcher in Dr. Carole Linster's group at the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB), University of Luxembourg. He is a trained biochemist with a deep interest in cellular metabolism and its regulation under various nutrient/disease contexts. Adhish Walvekar earned his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay), Mumbai, under the supervision of Prof. N. S. Punekar. In 2015, Adhish moved to Dr. Sunil Laxman’s lab at the Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine (inStem), Bangalore for his first postdoctoral stint. In 2019, Adhish joined Dr. Carole Linster's group to understand metabolic perturbations introduced in a mammalian cell model of NAXD deficiency, which causes a rare neurometabolic disorder in infants.
