个人简介
Ajit K. Mahapatro was born in Kodala, India, in 1974. He received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in physics from Berhampur University, Berhampur, India, in 1993 and 1995, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in physics from the School of Physical Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India, in 2003. From 2003 to 2009, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the Birck Nanotechnology Center, Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, USA. In 2010, he was a Research Associate with the Department of Physics and Astrophysics, Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, USA, and was accessing the Cornell NanoScale Science and Technology Facility Laboratory, the Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA. He joined the Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi, as an Assistant Professor in 2011. His research interests include electronic and Bio-sensing properties of graphene derivatives including graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxides, and graphene quantum dots; preparing well aligned metal oxide nanowires on various substrates and understanding the electrical conduction through metal oxide nanowire arrays; studying the thermoelectric properties of hot-pressed pellets containing nanostructured composites of calcium cobalt oxide, mixture of graphene oxide and calcium cobalt oxide, and bismuth telluride; interaction of magnetic nanoparticles with live cells for utilization in magnetic fluid hyperthermia.
