Alex J. Grede

Alexander Spott is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Mirios, Inc. He received the B.S. degree in physics from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA, in 2011, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and computer engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara, CA, USA, in 2015 and 2018, respectively. His research interests include midinfrared optoelectronics and silicon photonic integration. He has authored or co-authored more than 40 journals and conference papers, which have been cited more than 1000 times. He was the recipient of a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship in 2012.
