Bio
I have acquired several valuable technical skills, particularly in the areas of inorganic, bioinorganic, material science and coordination chemistry. This experience was acquired in different countries (India and Portugal), and demonstrates my potential to provide contribute in the field of bioinorganic chemistry and catalysis. I have extensively studied the coordinating behaviour of several tridentate and tetradentate N/O-donor ligand with structural flexibility and worked with several transition metal viz. V, Cu, Ni, Zn. I focused on the application of transition metal complexes in green oxidation reactions and also studied homogeneous and supported catalysts for the development of a new recyclable and widely applicable catalytic system.
In the past, I have demonstrated the advantages of transition metal complexes (TMCs) for application as therapeutic agents; determination of the secondary structure of proteins by circular dichroism; evaluation of the binding of transition metal ions to proteins. The majority of my research was done in multidisciplinary teams of researchers, with collaborations.
I am author and co-author of several scientific publications, including 1 book (Year 2011 ISBN: 978-3-8465- 4955-1), 22 research papers in international scientific periodicals with peer review, 15 conference proceedings and 4 technical presentations at national and international conferences. My current H index is 13 and my publications having accumulated impact factor of 83 and 473 citations. All the papers were published with the highest specialized journal in their area of expertise i.e Inorg. Chem. (4), Dalton Trans.
(8), Eur. J. Inorg. Chem (4), Catal. Lett (1), Appl. Catal. A: Gen (1); Inorg. Chem. Acta. (1), J. Mol. Catal. A: Chem (1) and Coord. Chem. Rev. (1).
As an independent scientific career, I will work to produce closely scientific manuscripts and patent, also intended to deliver lectures or enhancing research activities through strengthening international research networks. I believe, I am ready to take up a career in research and teaching. Teaching interests me, as it provides an opportunity to interact with young and inquisitive minds, which are abundant sources of such basic queries. Considering these facts carving a unique space-time fabric which attracts me to take this great opportunity to fulfill my desire to contribute in research and teaching being a faculty member.
This is what I want to achieve as my scientific career. I will be able to establish multidisciplinary independent research group, working in a state-of-the-art field that merges Inorganic chemistry with life sciences. I am also intending to establish collaborations with industrial partners and to publish my research in high impact journals.
