Anant Jaiswal

Anant Jaiswal is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Institute for Fundamental Biomedical Research (IFBR), Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, School of Medicine, Johns Hopkins University, Saint Petersburg, Florida, USA. A major focus of his Postdoctoral research is to understanding the role of key epigenetic regulator in "Innate Immunity and macrophages" and, how their macrophage specific loss can modulates biological processes and pathology. During his Ph.D. in life sciences, he did some extensive research on macrophage biology and immuno-metabolism. He elucidated key role of microRNAs in macrophage heterogeneity and identified a macrophage centric effect of these microRNAs in metabolic and immunologic diseases such as Insulin resistance and Allergic inflammation.
