Anant Mishra received the B.Tech. degree in industrial engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, India, in 2001; the M.S. degree in statistics from the School of Statistics, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, USA, in 2009; and the Ph.D. degree in business administration from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, in 2009. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Information Systems and Operations Management Department, School of Business, George Mason University, Fairfax, VA, USA. Prior to pursuing the Ph.D. degree, he acquired valuable experience in software development at Tata Consultancy Services—a premier Indian IT consulting firm, in Kolkata, India. His research has been published in Production and Operations Management and the Journal of Operations Management. His current research focuses on contemporary real-world issues in the areas of project management, new product development, crowdsourcing, and public-sector operations. Dr. Mishra is an Associate Editor in the Technology Management Department, Journal of Operations Management, and serves on the editorial review board of Production and Operations Management. His recognitions include the Wickham Skinner Award for Best Published Paper in Production and Operations Management, the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS) Applied Research Competition Finalist, and the institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) Technology Management Section Best Doctoral Dissertation Award.
