Andrés Tomás Domínguez received the PhD degree in computer science in 2009 with a dissertation about the parallel implementation of Krylov methods. He joined in 2004 the Grid and High Performance Computing Research Group (GRyCAP) and was a lecturer in the Computer Science School, at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV). Currently, he is a postdoctoral scholar at UC Davis' Computer Science Department. He is one of the developers of SLEPc (http://www.grycap.upv.es/slepc/). an extension of the PETSc library for solving large sparse eigenvalue and SVD problems in parallel computers. He is now working on the acceleration of Determinant Quantum Monte Carlo (DQMC) simulations in recent hardware architectures such as multicore CPUs and GPUs.
