Andrew M. Colclasure

Andrew M. Colclasure received the bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, Golden, CO, USA. From 2011 to 2016, he was a Staff Scientist at ITN Energy Systems in Littleton, CO. Since 2016, he has been employed with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory as a Battery Researcher. His research interests include numerous electrochemical systems including: Solid-state lithium batteries, vanadium redox flow batteries, numerous lithium-ion battery chemistries, lithium-air batteries, and solid-oxide fuel cells. His research interests include physics-based modeling of electrochemical systems with a special emphasis on accurately describing complex electrochemistry and transport and uses these models to enhance the performance, life, safety, and cost of these electrochemical systems.
