Andrew L Pierce

My laboratory uses tools from fish physiology and endocrinology to address issues in the recovery and enhancement of Columbia River Basin fisheries. Our current focus is on interactions between growth and reproductive maturation, and studies include regulation and assessment of maturation in female steelhead kelts and juvenile male Chinook salmon. We are located in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Idaho, where we collaborate with Dr. James Nagler.
