Anke Schmeink

Anke Schmeink (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Dr.-Ing. degree and the Diploma degree in mathematics with a minor in medicine and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering and information technology from RWTH Aachen University, Germany, in 2002 and 2006, respectively. She was a Research Scientist with Philips Research before joining RWTH Aachen University. She spent several research visits with the University of Melbourne and the University of York. She is the coauthor of more than 270 publications and an Editor of the books Big Data Analytics for Cyber-Physical Systems: Machine Learning for the Internet of Things and Smart Transportation: AI Enabled Mobility and Autonomous Driving. She is also leading the Chair of Information Theory and Data Analytics, RWTH Aachen University, Germany. Her research interests are in information theory, machine learning, data analytics, and optimization, with a focus on wireless communications and medical applications. She is an Editor of IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications.
