My focus is on the interaction of emotion and cognition, how cognitive processes regulate emotion, how emotion interacts with cognition, particularly on the neurofunctional level. This interaction is disturbed in affective disorders (anxiety disorders, OCD, MDD). Therapies (psychotherapy, pharmacotherapy) try to improve and restore these functions. Understanding these processes in healthy subjects, disturbances in affective disorders and changes with treatment could help improving treatments.
