Bio
Ashish Tripathi received the Bachelor of Technology (chemical engineering) degree from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India, in 1991, and the Ph.D. degree (chemicals and fuels engineering) from the University of Utah, Logan, in 1997.
From 1997 to 1998, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Utah. Since December 1987, he has been a Research Scientist with Science Applications International Corporation (via acquisition of Geo- Centers, Inc.), Edgewood, MD. He supports the Edgewood Chemical Biological Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. He specializes in spectroscopy and spectrometry-based chemical–biological detection techniques. He is the author or coauthor of more than 15 peer-reviewed journal publications and a patent (biological classification system) along with more than 30 scientific presentations at various prestigious international conferences. His current research interests include Raman imaging microscopy and spectroscopy to investigate biological threats in water.
