Bio
I carry out research in the field of elementary particle physics and field theory. My work is both at the frontier of the standard model and high precision, and also directed at finding signatures of interactions that lie beyond the standard model. I have worked on dispersion relations and chiral symmetry of the strong interactions, and have looked in depth at physics prospects of the proposed or planned International Linear Collider. I have worked on topics such as grand unified theories and supersymmetric models. I have guided 6 students to their Ph. D.'s and 6 more are working with me now. I have received the Homi Bhabha Fellowship for the period 2009-2011 and I was awarded the Rustum Choksi Award for Excellence in Science for 2014 that was shared with Mrinal K. Ghosh of the Department of Mathematics of my employer. I held the MSIL Chair of the Division of Physical and Mathematicical Sciences 2015 to 2018.
