Elnazir Basil

Prof Elnazir is a Respiratory Paediatrician with strong academic background. He obtained his PhD from the university of Birmingham UK and completed his training in the UK and Ireland. He has held many leadership key positions during his career with the Asthma Society of Ireland, Cystic Fibrosis Ireland, Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, Arab Pediatric Pulmonology association and Middle East Cystic Fibrosis Association. He has published more than 60 manuscripts in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented extensively at national and international meetings. He has also served as an Editor and Reviewer to many paediatric medical journals including Archives of Diseases in Childhood, Journal of Cystic Fibrosis, Frontiers in Paediatrics, Saudi Medical Journal. He has a special clinical and research interest in asthma, cystic fibrosis, chronic cough and sleep disordered breathing in children. Prof Elnazir provides diagnosis and comprehensive care for the full range of lung and respiratory disorders including asthma, chronic lung disease, cystic fibrosis, chronic cough, respiratory insufficiency, and sleep disordered breathing.
