个人简介
He is currently a Staff Scientist with the Department of Physiology and Biomedical Engineering and the Director of the Special-Purpose Processor Development Group, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. His research interests include the development of algorithms for the real-time analysis of wide-bandwidth image and signal data; the design of specialized signal-processing computers to execute these tasks; the advancement of high-performance integrated-circuit technologies, such as Indium Phosphide and silicon germanium, which can be used to assemble very high-performance signal processors; the development of advanced electronic packaging technologies, such as multichip packages, which will be capable of supporting digital and mixed-signal integrated circuit-based processors operating at multi-gigahertz system clock rates and bandwidth; and low-power microminiaturized battery-operated standalone systems for Defense Department and medical applications. He also works to transfer newly developed electronics from the Defense Department and Aerospace industries to the health care industry, where they are needed to assure the provision of quality medical care to patients
