Bio
Balint Petro received the B.Sc. degree in energy engineering ('15) and the M.Sc. degree in mechatronics engineering ('17) from Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BUTE), Hungary.
He is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Mechatronics, Optics and Engineering Informatics, BUTE. His research topics are in the area of biomechanics, the analysis of human motion and associated biomedical signals. His Ph.D. topic focuses on human upright balancing and developing methods to assess balancing abilities.
Mr Petro had been awarded an Erasmus Mundus Action 2 – PANTHER Project grant for an 8-month-long academic visit to the to KEDRI at Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand where he studied the application of spiking neural networks in biomedical signal processing.
