Member of the Department of Infection Biology & Microbiomes, and the Microbiome Innovation Centre, University of Liverpool, UK. Member of the UK Gut Microbiota for Health Expert Panel. Studies encompass epithelial and immune cell responses to inflammation and infection in intestinal crypt stem cell-derived 3D organoids, tissue explants and in vivo. Translational projects examine effects of antibiotics, probiotics, environment modulators, and diet on microbiome and microbiota interactions.
