Bart Nuttin

Bart Nuttin received the Ph.D. degree in medical sciences in 1996 from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Leuven, Belgium. He is the Chief of Clinic at the Department of Neurosurgery, the Universitair Ziekenhuis Leuven, Leuven, Belgium and a Professor at the Department of Neurosurgery, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Leuven, Belgium. His research interests include neuromodulation and injury to the central nervous system. Prof. Nuttin is the Chair of the Committee for Neurosurgery for Psychiatric Disorders of the World Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery, a member of the Board of Directors of the World Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery, the Treasurer of the European Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery (ESSFN). He was appointed to the Council of the Europäische Akademie zur Erforschung von Folgen wissenschaftlich-technischer Entwicklungen Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler GmbH. He is the ex-President Benelux Chapter of the International Neuromodulation Society, the ex-Board Member of the International Neuromodulation Society, and the ex-President of the Belgian Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery.
