Rapp Bastian E

Bastian E. Rapp received the Degree in mechanical engineering and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany, in 2005 and 2008, respectively. He is currently the Head of the Young Investigator Group of Indirect Microfluidic Systems at the Institute of Microstructure Technology, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany. His research focuses on the development of microfluidic analytical systems and instrumentation for biomedical applications and biotechnology, and polymer and biomaterial synthesis. For his work, he received the Edison Award from the General Electric Foundation, the REHAU Award, the Südwestmetallförderpreis Award, and the Research Award of Systeme für den Menschen from the German Ministry of Education and Research.
