个人简介
Dr Jones applies surface science for both end-user focused work and fundamental investigations. This includes thin carbon films, for example in medical devices, aerospace and machining. In forensic science investigations include interactions between fingerprints, surfaces and development agents. Funders include the Home Office, the Leverhulme Trust, and EPSRC. The Institute of Physics cited his work as, "An outstanding example of high quality university science with impact for industry”. His work won the 2013 PW Allen award from the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences for research quality, novelty and impact.
