His research interests include imaging physics of SPECT, PET and CT, 4-D computer generated phantoms that realistically mimic human anatomy and physiology, computer simulation techniques including the use of Monte Carlo methods, statistical and quantitative image reconstruction methods, image quality evaluation using model and human observers, 4-D cardiac and respiratory motion compensation, and preclinical small animal imaging instrumentation and techniques.
