Anandaroop Bhattacharya

Anandaroop Bhattacharya received the B.Tech. degree in mechanical engineering from IIT Kharagpur, Kharagpur, India, in 1997, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Boulder, CO, USA, in 1999 and 2001, respectively. Prior to joining IIT Kharagpur in 2015, he spent 12 years in the industry in the USA and India working in various research and technology leadership roles at Intel, Chandler, AZ, USA, and Bengaluru, India, General Motors, Bengaluru, and GE Global Research, Bengaluru. He is currently an Associate Professor of mechanical engineering and the Associate Dean of International Relations with IIT Kharagpur. He has 21 patent filings and around 50 archival journal and conference publications. His research interests lie in the areas of electronic thermal management, microfluidics, transport in porous media, and energy sciences. Dr. Bhattacharya is also an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Components and Packaging Technologies.
