Bimal K. Bhattacharya

Bimal K. Bhattacharya received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees fromIndian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, India, in 1991 and 1995, respectively. Since 2000, he has been a Scientist with the Space Applications Centre, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Ahmedabad, India. He is involved in developing satellite-based agro-met products and their utilization in National Agro-met Advisory Services in India. He is the Science Leader of AVIRIS-NG airborne hyperspectral mission in India and also the Science Co-Chair of ISRO-CNES (Indo–French) thermal infrared mission.
