Blake is an epidemiologist at The George Institute for Global Health at the University of Oxford. His research is focused on modifiable risk factors for non-communicable diseases, and how these risks may vary within and between populations globally (particularly by sex and socioeconomic status).

Blake began his population health research career as a Post-Bachelor Fellow at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, where he worked on the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) Study and community-based projects focused on the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases in low- and middle-income countries.
