Bo Zhang

Bo Zhang received the B.S. degree in clinical medicine from the Fourth Military Medical University, Xi’an, in 1990, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in urology from Xijing Hospital, Fourth Military Medical University, in 2002 and 2005, respectively. From 2001 to 2004, he was a Visiting Scholar with The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, OH, USA. From 2004 to 2007, he was the Director of the Kidney Transplantation Center, Tangdu Hospital, Fourth Military Medical University. Since 2004, he has been an Assistant Professor with the Urology Surgery Department, Tangdu Hospital, Fourth Military Medical University. In 2018, he served as the Urology Director of Tangdu Hospital, Fourth Military Medical University. He has been supported by two general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and seven projects of Shaanxi Province. He is the author of four books, more than 80 articles, and more than seven inventions. His research interests include clinical research work of 3D printing in urology, renal autotransplantation, urogenital tumors, urological endoscopy, and minimally invasive robotic surgery. He was a recipient of the Second Prize of Military Medical Achievements. He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Stem Cells.
