Brett A. Houk currently works at the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work, Texas Tech University. Brett researches the ancient Maya, and his current project is the 'Chan Chich Archaeological Project.' He is currently interested in ancient urbanism, the rise of divine kingship, the built environment, and the Classic Maya collapse.
