His research interests include: 1) Environmental Biogeochemistry with an emphasis on interfacial phenomena such as (de)sorption, oxidation/reduction, mineral precipitation/dissolution, 2) Biotechnology for biofuels (methane, hydrogen, ethanol, and diesel) production using anaerobic digestion and fermentation; and 3) (Bio)remediation using physicochemical and biological methods.
