Christy's research integrates fieldwork, high pressure and temperature piston-cylinder and multi-anvil experiments, elemental and isotopic geochemistry and geochronology to examine the mechanisms and timescales of magma genesis. Christy also serves as Vice Chair of the American Geophysical Union Council and sits on their Board of Directors as an early career representative.
