Cecilia Bester

Cecilia Bester works at the Crop Development Division, Agricultural Research Council Infruitec-Nietvoorbij, Stellenbosch, South Africa. She holds a PhD in Genetics and has more than 30 years’ experience in plant breeding of several crops eg vegetables, forestry trees, deciduous fruit and indigenous fynbos crops. Current research projects are on Honeybush breeding, genetics, propagation and horticulture. Other interests are community development, biodiversity conservation and student training.
