Bio
Carol Crean received a PhD in Chemistry from Dublin City University (DCU), Ireland. She worked as a Research Fellow at the Intelligent Polymer Research Institute at the University of Wollongong, Australia and returned to DCU in 2008 with the support of a Marie Curie Reintegration Grant to work as a Research Fellow at the Biomedical Diagnostics Institute. Carol commenced her position at the University of Surrey in 2011.
Carol is a materials chemist, with a broad background in physical chemical characterisation. Her principal research interests include the synthesis, functionalisation and characterisation of advanced and nanostructured electro-materials for applications such as sensors and energy storage and Raman spectroscopy of materials.
