C. Michael Olsen

C. Michael Olsen (S'88–M'90) received the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (TUD), Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1986 and the Industrial Ph.D. degree from the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences, Lyngby, Denmark, in 1990. His thesis work was on optical telecommunication systems. He was an Associate Researcher with TUD from 1986 to 1987 and was with NKT Electronics from 1987 to 1990. Since 1990, he has been with IBM, Hopewell Junction, NY. He has worked in areas such as optical telecommunication systems and computer interconnects, wireless MAC protocols, application programming for information appliances and PDAs, power management for processors and wireless network interfaces, and distortion and modeling of CMOS devices.
