Christian P. Morath received the B.S. degree in physics from the U.S. Air Force Academy, CO, USA, in 1997, the M.S. degree in physics from the Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH, USA, in 1999, and the Ph.D. degree in physics from The University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM, USA, in 2009. He has previously worked on a variety of semiconductor-related topics, including transport in electron–hole bilayers at low temperatures, InP-based avalanche photodiodes operated in Geiger mode, and quantum well and dot structures for infrared detectors. He is currently with AFRL’s Missile Warning and Tactical ISR Branch, Kirtland Air Force Base, NM, where he is also the Branch Deputy Tech Advisor and a Technical Lead with the Space-Based Detector Characterization Group. His current research interests primarily include radiation effects on detector devices and materials, event-based sensors, and photonic output circuits for detector readout circuits.
