Recently I finished my MSc in Biochemistry for Health. My MSc project was focused on understanding the impact of deficient and aberrant glycosylation in the modulation of the immune response. The main aim was to understand the affected immune mechanisms in congenital disorders of glycosylation in order to find therapy. This project is under the scope of CDG & Allies-PPAIN (Professionals and Patient Associations International Network). Within this network, I am also responsible for revisions of literature and medical writing. Furthermore, my project also included the assessment of immune modulation by colorectal cancer cell lines. Currently, I am doing a PhD in Biology with the goal to further decipher the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying immune dysfunction occurring in CDG patients.
