C. Wayne Wright

C. Wayne Wright attended the Delaware Technical and Community College, Wilmington, from 1972 to 1974. He received the B.S. degree (cum laude) in computer science from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Princess Anne, in 1985. From 1974 to 1977, he was self-employed in the broadcast and electronic manufacturing industries. From 1977 to 1979, he worked for the Computer Science Corporation at the Wallops Flight Center. From 1979 to the present, he has been a Civil Servant at what is now the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, VA. His research interests include design, development, and application of airborne remote sensing lidar and radar instruments. He is a Principal Investigator for the application of airborne metric and fluorescence lidar to coral reef mapping and monitoring and for the measurement of coral spawn for monitoring coral reefs. He is also a Co-Investigator for scanning radar altimeter measurements in hurricanes.
