Cassandra Bugir

I have a background in Anthrozoology and predominantly focused on human-animal relationships. Extended that passion by pursuing a PhD at the University of Newcastle- researching extant and extinct hominid groups, their hunting methods, and their prey preferences. In this research project, the intention is to examine the complexities throughout human evolution and the subsequent effects of animal population densities in their respective environments. Understanding hunter-gatherer dietary choices and what is being targeted provides valuable information to transform into solutions for conservation efforts for both hunter gather communities and animal populations.
