I made several significant discoveries in the field of neurological disease and cellular metabolism. I identified the neuroprotective role of itaconate in protecting ferroptotic neurons by alkylating GPx4 post-stroke (Wei C et al., Cell Death &Differentiation). I also participated in investigating the role of lactoferrin in aggravating neuronal ferroptosis after intracerebral hemorrhagic stroke in hyperglycemic mice (Xiao Z et al., Redox Biol, 2022)
