个人简介
I have a broad background in physical chemistry and biophysics. As a staff member at the Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences (CNMS) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, I have expertise with single-molecule measurements, including single-enzyme kinetics measurements in ultrasmall environments. I have developed methods for forming individual femtoliter-volume water-in-oil droplets in microfluidic channels on demand. I have also helped elucidate phase change behavior of water on nanostructured superhydrophobic surfaces. Current research projects include characterization of expression noise from cell-free genetic circuits, and measurement of membrane organization and function, including ion channel activity, in confined and crowded environments.
