Christopher A. Scholin

Christopher A. Scholin received the bachelor's degree in biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara, CA, USA, the master's degree in molecular biology and immunology from Duke University, Durham, NC, USA, and the Ph.D. degree in biological oceanography from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology/Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Joint Program, Woods Hole, MA, USA, in 1992. His research at Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, Moss Landing, CA, USA, focuses on the development of ecogenomic sensors for detecting water-borne micro-organisms and environmental DNA using molecular probe technology. Dr. Scholin serves on the Board of Trustees of the Monterey Bay Aquarium Foundation and the Consortium for Ocean Leadership.
