I am currently working on the effects of insect outbreaks on saproxylic biodiversity but also on the effects of secondary xylophagous insects on timber value and wood fiber quality. In 2020, we also aim to study the potential negative effects of the intensive use of Bt sprays against the spruce budworm on non target Lepidoptera as well as to assess the positive effects of this management practice on the overall forest habitat and its biodiversity, including the threatened woodland caribou.
