Cells and tissue microenvironment are like seeds and soil; the ‘soil’ supports the ‘seeds’ to grow, while the ‘seeds’ remodel the ‘soil’ through secretion. We aim to optimise the soil to improve the seeds’ growth. We are testing our concepts and designs with various models ranging from bone defects to dental implants to diabetic skin ulcers
