Our research investigates the influence of lifestyle factors (physical activity/exercise) and individual characteristics on cardiovascular health. Current methodology include noninvasive imaging techniques (Doppler-ultrasound and Near-Infrared Spectroscopy), autonomic nervous system function (heart rate variability), and arterial stiffness (pulse wave analysis and velocity). We are currently exploring the roles of biological sex, race/ethnicity, and health status on cardiovascular health.
