Bio
Curt Preissner received the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Chicago, IL, USA, in 2009.
Since 2004, he has been working with the Advanced Photon Source (APS), Argonne National Laboratory, Lemont, IL, USA. The APS is a national synchrotron light source serving thousands of users each year. At the APS, Dr. Preissner designs high-precision X-ray instrumentation and particle accelerator components. His research interests include nanofocusing X-ray microscopes and dynamic testing and simulation of next-generation synchrotron accelerator magnet support systems.
