Denis Sidorov (M’08–SM’18) was born in Irkutsk, Russia, in 1974. He received the Ph.D. and Dr. Habil. degrees in applied mathematics from Irkutsk State University, Irkutsk, in 2000 and 2014, respectively.,He is currently a Leading Researcher with Melentiev Energy Systems Institute, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Irkutsk, and a Professor with Irkutsk National Research Technical University, Irkutsk. From 2001 to 2007, he was with Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, with Université de Technologie de Compiégne and Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, Compiègne, France, as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, and with ASTI Holding, Singapore, as a Vision Engineer. In 2013, he was with Siegen University, Siegen, Germany, as a Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst Professor. He has authored more than 140 scientific papers and four monographs. His research interests include integral and differential equations, machine learning, wind energy, and inverse problems.,Dr. Sidorov is the IEEE Power and Energy Society Russia (Siberia) Chapter Chair and the Distinguished Guest Professor of Hunan University, Changsha, China
