Dr. Mukherjee’s research emphasizes the development of individual treatment plans that optimize survival and quality-in-life in all brain tumor patients. His work involves the development of patient-centered, disease-specific quality-of-life instruments in order to quantify disease burden and to help patients and provide make informed treatment decisions. With formalized training in biostatistics, epidemiology, and in clinical trial design, Dr. Mukherjee leads institutional and national efforts focus on the creation of brain tumor patient registries and adaptive clinical trials in neurosurgery. He also has an expertise in big data analytics and health policy, mining national datasets to determine national trends and disparities in neurosurgical care
