David Pugmire received the PhD degree from the University of Utah, in 2000. He is a distinguished research scientist with Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and the Visualization group leader. He is also a joint faculty professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Tennessee. He was previously a staff scientist with the Los Alamos National Laboratory. His background is in Computer Science, Scientific Visualization and Analysis. His research targets high performance, scalable analysis and visualization. He is particularly interested in in situ analysis, multi-core and distributed memory scalability.
